I am a board-certified music therapist, and I also teach piano, voice, and trumpet lessons.

Hi there, my name is Missy! I am a board-certified and NICU certified music therapist who most recently had the pleasure of working for a private practice: The Pacific Resiliency Center (PRC) based out of Stockton, CA. I have provided music therapy services to pediatric and neonatal intensive care units, as well as a pediatric hospice and respite care house in the East Bay. Previously, I served various populations in the Sacramento, Davis and Stockton areas, including Medical-Surgical, ICU, NICU, Oncology, Pediatric and Infusion Center Units, as well as a Psychiatric Center, Hospice, and others. Before that, I studied music therapy at University of the Pacific as a 3-year Master's student and completed my studies in December of 2018, magna cum laude. Before attending UOP, I graduated from USF with a Bachelor of Arts in music, cum laude.

I also have a great passion for teaching private music lessons to my beloved students! I offer an individualized approach to piano, vocal, and trumpet lessons for all ages. It is important to me that the student has a positive experience while refining their musical skills, in hopes they will continue as a life long musician!

When I'm not making music, I also love traveling, fishing, being outside, scuba-diving, drinking tea, reading, and especially laughing with my amazing husband, Nick!

I teach percussion, piano, and drums!

Hi! I'm Mckenzie! I am a percussionist in the Bay Area where I play with many different ensembles and orchestras including being a regular percussion extra with the San Francisco Opera Orchestra. I am a member of Ninth Planet, a new music ensemble and service organization dedicated to the commissioning, performance and furthering of new music, especially the works of young composers and artists from underrepresented communities.

I graduated from the Eastman School of Music and San Francisco Conservatory of Music with a Bachelors and Masters in Music Performance.

I teach a studio of over 20 young musicians how to play piano, drums, and percussion, and have learned a lot about teaching over zoom this year! :)

When I'm not making or teaching music, you can find me outdoors, scuba diving, hiking, and learning to speak German with my adventurous better half.
